We are thrilled to spotlight Tamerri Ater, a 2023 graduate of UCLA Anderson’s Executive MBA (EMBA) program and the visionary founder of "Gift of the Nile." This recognition celebrates her exceptional contributions and the remarkable success of her business, which stands among the top 100 enterprises created by UCLA Anderson alumni.

STUDENT HIGHLIGHT

Tomilola Oke shares her journey as an African student navigating the MBA program at UCLA Anderson. Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Tomilola emphasizes the importance of early application and preparation for prospective students, especially regarding visa processes and standardized tests. She highlights cultural adjustments, including adapting to diverse food options and different academic expectations. Networking was initially challenging but became a valuable skill as she adjusted to the American style of engagement. Tomilola's story is a testament to resilience and adaptability in pursuing an MBA.
